‘We are sailing, the rest are trailing’ – SDP campaign chief pokes competitors
The Socialist Development Party, SDP’s Campaign Manager, Daniel Kwame Zah, alias Sefashi, has underlined the importance of the Ghana Institute of Journalism’s Political Communication course especially the practicality associated with it.
In a write up posted on his Facebook page, Sefashi highlighted how the simulated political campaign project would not only showcase the various political leaders in various group but bring out great talents in communicators.
He writes: “Before I raise the argument on why the only school of Communication in Ghana (Ghana Institute of Journalism) decided to practically situate this course (Political Communication), I would like to first of all thank all gallant supporters, sympathizers, and Ghanaians who came to witness the unveiling of the only flagbearer in this competition.
“Among the other nine competitors who are yet finding their path politically and ideologically, I am yet to understand if they have any flagbearer comparative to mine,” he added.
He also hinted of news making the rounds and political intel that pointed to the fact that some parties were struggling to settle on their flagbearers with a month to the D-day.
He stressed that the formal outdooring of SDP’s presidential candidate, Obed King Gaglo and his winning mate, Laila Sharu, was a big trigger to rolling out the full campaign machinery of the party.
“They (the opponents) do not have any economic plan for the Ghanaian and are only into a business of copying from the best (Socialist Development Party) yet pretend as though they have any path.
“In the coming days, they'll witness the heat. Thanks to resourceful individuals like Dominic Asitanga , Frank Addo and Tina Ewoe . Your presence and knowledge shared among my people fell on a good soil.
“When it starts bearing the fruits, do not be surprised. We are a family of good listening skills. We will put all of that to use,” he stressed.
The outdooring of SDP’s presidential ‘duo’ took place at the North Dzorwulu Campus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
The activities of SDP and other competing groups form part of the Level 300 Political Communication course in which students form simulated political parties to contest in a ‘national event.’
This year’s event is slated for May 14, 2022.
