SDP launches the ‘You And I Manifesto’
The Socialist Development Party, SDP, launched its ‘You and I Manifesto’ at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, AMA Auditorium on Saturday 7th May, 2022.
The event brought together party faithful from across the country and saw the likes of the major political parties - NDC and CPP – sending representatives to grace the occasion.
The ‘You and I Manifesto’ highlighted on three broad areas: Rights and Democratic Institutionalization, the Economy and Poverty Eradication and Human Resource Management and Development.
The Manifesto touched on the need for the creation of more jobs for the youth as well as revamping the agricultural sector which is the backbone to every country’s food security.
On Tourism and Hospitality development, the manifesto touched on engendering the right incentives and investments, in order to create significant economic value and jobs from the tourism and hospitality industry as well as revamping the industry to look more attractive and boost domestic travels and tour thereby reducing unemployment within the sector.
Speeches were delivered by party leadership from the Chairman to the Communications Director as well as from winning mate Laila Sharu and flagbearer Gaglo King Obed.
Meanwhile, propaganda chief of SDP, Daniel Kwame Zah has assured that the party was battle ready for the May 14th event and that the SDP was ready to win or win – nothing more, nothing less.
